Abheepsa Mishra has completed her Ph.D in Biotechnology (Natural Product Research/Cancer Biology), 2015 under the guidance of Prof. Satyahari Dey at Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India.
Currently, she is working at The Himalaya Drug Company, Bangalore, India as a postdoctoral fellow. She has an expertise in isolation, purification, and characterization of bioactive peptides (Anticancer peptides) from plants with exceptional skills in cell culture techniques, microscopy, and molecular biology. Presently, she is focusing her research on cancer research, infectious diseases, and skin disorders leading to drug discovery. She is primarily working on EMT transition in kidney and lung cells for screening anti-fibrotic drugs. During one year span at The Himalaya Drug Company she has co-authored two publications and won scientist of the month December 2015 for her excellent work in drug discovery. She has published papers in peer-reviewed international journals and has two patents to her credit. She has also participated and presented in several national and international conferences.
