Dr. Kirpa Ram is working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He completed his post-doctoral studies at The University of Tokyo, Japan. Prior to joining Banaras Hindu University, he served as a Scientist at the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) and INSPIRE Faculty: IIT Bhubaneswar. Kirpa specializes in atmospheric and aerosol Chemistry. His research interests include Carbonaceous Aerosols with emphasis on Black Carbon, Secondary Aerosols, Optical and Microphysical properties of Aerosols, Aerosol-Cloud Interaction and Climate, Trace Gases and Ozone Measurements, Stratosphere-Troposphere Exchange, Volatile Organic Compounds, Poly-Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Platinum Group Elements, Carbon Dioxide Capture and Sequestration.
