Asian Federation of Biotechnology
AFOB is a non-profit organization established in 2008. The Federation consists of Asian societies related to biotechnology. The Federation promotes co-operation, on scientific grounds, between the scientists from academia and industry in Asian region, for the general advancement of biotechnology as an interdisciplinary field of research and as a means of bringing the scientific development to industrial level.

TWAS was founded in 1983 by a distinguished group of scientists from the developing world, under the leadership of Abdus Salam, the Pakistani physicist and Nobel laureate. They shared a belief that developing nations, by building strength in science and engineering, could build the knowledge and skill to address such challenges as hunger, disease and poverty.

Research Institute for Bioscience & Biotechnology (RIBB) is a non-political, non-governmental and community service oriented non-profit making institute established in 2011. RIBB is working in the field of biotechnology basically on Biodiversity, Natural Products and Bioenergy.
