Md. Rezaul Karim graduated from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh in 1985 with honors and completed M.Sc. in 1986 from the same department. He was awarded Gold Medal by the University of Rajshahi for excellent result in M.Sc. Examination. He also did M.Ag. and Ph.D. from Kagoshima University, Japan in 1999 and 2002, respectively in the field of Postharvest Technology and Enzyme Technology, respectively. He joined as a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Rajshahi University in 1991 and became full Professor in 2007. He has published around 40 research articles in international journals of high reputation. He also served as Associate Professor in University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) for four years. Currently Karim is working in the field of bioactive principles of fruits, and vegetables, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, Arsenic toxicity in human etc.
